a glance at some sub-tropical rainforest

Bush Walking

There are four national parks within close proximity to Dorrigo Mountain Resort, the main one is Dorrigo National Park.

This park is comprised of 7,800 hectares of sub-tropical rainforest.

The “must” walk is the
Wonga Walk, this takes approximately two and a half hours to complete one whole circuit.

Along the walk you will pass behind a waterfall and take in one of the best examples of sub-tropical rainforest on the east coast of Australia.

Other parks in the area incude:

New England National Park:

A park containing mostly dry sclerophyll environments with little to no sub-tropical areas.

Guy Fawkes Gorge:

The sights and sounds of gorge country.

Catheral Rock National Park:

Largest remaining mass of volcanic rock from the now extinct volcano near Ebor.
